Relax, Mike.  I know American Icons is expensive, and that it is alot cheaper to get free autographs at fanfests and the ballpark (if you get any).  It's all about choice:  Do I want to pay to get an autograph?  Or can I get it for free?  Sometimes people don't have the time or opportunity to get autographs from certain players so they pay for them.  At least with American Icons, I know their autographs are real.  And whoever said autograph stores should be cheap?  Autographs that charge way too much or way too little are bound to sell fake autographs.  As for American Icons telling their signers not to sign for free at games, that's the first time I've heard them do that.  Is that true?  Who did you hear that from?  I know for sure that the players will sign for free anyways at the Padres Fanfests.  I don't know if other players from other teams sign for free at fanfests, however.

I usually get my Cardinal and D-Back sigs for free. If I have an item I want signed perfectly I get it from a paid signing when available. I wanted Fitz to sign a fullsize helmet with his full signature. Catching him on the fly is very risky. His sig is not always good. He did a signing and I got it there. The other 500 zillion I have of him I got at fanfest, draft party or sponsor events I went to....etc. Paid signing is still by far the cleanest sig Iof his I have.
