Bill Cody was one of my heroes, and I've always wanted his autograph. I was lucky to obtain this, and with a bit more research actually learned that it had apparently originally been sold sometime in the 70s through Sotheby's.
wow that's awesome . The story was told from My grandfather he was my moms father this was a farm way back. before the civil way the hose was built most likely before the 1840's. we had extra horses my grand dad was 13 at the time I think he was born in 1883. he went with his father because William Cody was in Boston at the time a 2 day trip by horse and buggy to get Bill the extra horses he needed for the show.
