Hi A.B. Thanks for takin an interest.  It's never been submitted to an expert.  

The story I got from the seller [who was a Prince fan selling off his collection not an actual autograph dealer] at the time was :

"The autograph is from 89 and was got outside his hotel in London. There was a guy called Mark I used to get a lot of Prince stuff from in London (you might have seen my other auctions of The Crown Jewels promo CD, Purple Rain press kit and other promos - nearly all were from him). He had a friend at Warner that was sort of middle management and responsible for Prince in the UK, so he used to give him the promos. He also told him in 89 that Prince was in London for meetings and what hotel he was at. I think it was the Dorchester but am not sure now. Mark hung out in the lobby and got Prince to sign the Lovesexy sleeve and this Purple Rain inner. He already had a signed Lovesexy from an HMV in-store in 88. He sold me the Purple Rain one for 150. His 88 cover was the best of the 3 but was framed and not for sale. I saw the 89 Lovesexy, and it was identical to this Purple Rain sleeve, he also had a few photos of Prince getting into his car after signing them. I bought it in 1990 and have never doubted the authenticity because of the other one, the photos and how excited he was when telling the story."
