Name: Dario

Surname: Argento

Dario Argento (Rome, 7 September 1940) is an Italian director, screenwriter and film producer. A very famous filmmaker both in Italy and abroad, especially in France, Japan and the United States, he is nicknamed Master of Thrills[6] having dedicated almost all of his production to horror and thriller cinema and having directed some films which remain among the most famous of these genres. Among his best-known works is the Animal Trilogy (consisting of The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, 1970, The Cat O' Nine Tails and Four Gray Velvet Flies, both 1971), the pivotal film of transition from thriller to 'horror Deep Red (1975), and the trilogy of The Three Mothers (composed instead of Suspiria, from 1977, Inferno, from 1980, and The Third Mother, from 2007). From the very beginning, Argento infused his fears into his works, focusing on the mechanisms of suspense and terror, particularly in the first films, considered the progenitors of the Italian detective story.
