Name: Anna

Surname: Magnani

Anna Magnani (Rome, 7 March 1908 – Rome, 26 September 1973) was an Italian actress. Considered one of the greatest female performers in the history of cinema, she is among the few actresses, as well as the first Italian, to be considered a great artistic personality throughout the world. A symbolic actress of Italian cinema, she was, together with Alberto Sordi and Aldo Fabrizi, one of the pre-eminent figures of Roman cinematography of the 20th century. You celebrate your interpretations, especially in films such as Rome, Open City, Bellissima, Mamma Roma and The Tattooed Rose. The latter earned her an Oscar for best leading actress in 1956 (she was the first non-English-speaking actress to receive the award). She was also nicknamed "Nannarella".
