Michael Jackson signed pillow case…REAL or FAKE?

Pillow signed in the early 80's. Authenticity wise how is the autograph?

He did sign pillow cases and toss them out of his hotel windows to fans. The sig is too small to view on my mobile. I'm sure a few members will put their two cents in. If it's real, it's a jewel.

But I will say that the sharpie looks like it was signed last week. Way too fresh to be from any point in the 80s or 90s. At least on cloth.

Hate to blow up this thread with back to back comments, but I managed to get the pic big enough to view on my phone. That doesn't look like any genuine MJ sigs I've seen.

Well the thing is the item was folded and put away for many years that's probably why the marker looks so fresh

Yea the signature looks a little off but the other writing looks like its from him plus the type of words he used.......

No, sorry, that's not possible when sharpie or marker is put to cloth. Paper, sure. With paper, you can have it pressed and it'll look new. But when marker hits cloth, it will never stay that fresh for over 20 years just by being kept in a drawer folded up. Even if they claimed it to have been signed in 2009, I would still be on the fence. Marker bleeds on cloth right away. And no matter how it's folded, or where it's kept, it'll continue to bleed over the years. There's no possible way that was from even the 1990s.

I did look closely to the scan and the market is bleeding threw the cloth

I can't say he didn't sign it for sure, but I seriously doubt he did. I can tell you 100% that it was signed very recently. And if it was really genuine, then the most recent it couldve been signed was 2009. I guess it's possible, and maybe the sig looks off because he had to sign slower on cloth...but I doubt that. It just looks fake to me. I could be wrong, but I thought he didnt do the "firework" on the N in Jackson during his latter years.

The year I might be off this could of been early 2000's because yea the fireworks with the N and yea your hand signature would be hard to write on cloth as quick as signing an album or photo

But look at the other words.....looks like his hand writing

Yes, but when I say bleeding for over a year, I mean fading. Real bleeding on ink. This bleeding is too fresh. If you were to buy this, and keep it for a year folded up in a drawer, you'd see real "time bleeding". This is not time bleeding. This is just signed the other day bleeding. My grandson had to use a sharpie to write his baseball number on his uniform practice shirt, and a week after it was signed (before it got to be washed) it looked more faded and bled more than this.
