Vanessa Nuala Kirby (London, 18 April 1988) is a British actress. She achieved international fame acting in the television series The Crown, where she played Princess Margaret in the first two seasons and thanks to which she obtained a nomination for the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2018 and won the award BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2020 she was praised by critics for her performance in the film Pieces of a Woman, for which she won the Volpi Cup for best female performance, at the Venice Film Festival, and received the third nomination for the BAFTA Award and the first nomination for the Critics' Choice Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award, the Golden Globe, and the Academy Award in the best leading actress section.
