Ralph Fiennes, born Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes (Ipswich, 22 December 1962), is a British actor, voice actor, director and film producer. He is a well-known Shakespearean performer who achieved success on the stage of the Royal National Theatre. Also known for playing the dark wizard Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series, he won a Tony Award for the role of Prince Hamlet on Broadway. Since 1999, Fiennes has served as an ambassador for UNICEF, and in September 2017 he obtained honorary Serbian citizenship. For Schindler's List - Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List (1993) he received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, winning the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor. For The English Patient (1996) he received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, the BAFTA Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award
