Michelle Marie Pfeiffer (Santa Ana, April 29, 1958) is an American actress. She achieved international fame with the role of Elvira Hancock in the cult film Scarface (1983), alongside Al Pacino. For her performance in the film Dangerous Liaisons (1988) she was nominated for an Academy Award in the best supporting actress section, while for The Fabulous Bakers (1989) and Two Strangers, a Destiny (1992) she was nominated in the best leading actress section . She is the winner of a Golden Globe, a BAFTA Award and a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2017 she received her first Emmy Award nomination for her performance in the television film The Wizard of Lies.
