I have a vast collection of recordings covering a variety of genres...also many books and a houseful of antiques.

Why do you want to join Autograph Live?

I was advised by an auction house that Autograph Magazine was a good place to start in my search for confirming an autograph. I am primarily a collector but sold antiques 1970s-80s and personally specialize in rare recordings (both buying and selling). However, as a favor to someone who has moved into a retirement home and is aged 90, I visited and evaluated their 78 RPM recordings with the caveat that value was typically very little. The majority of the recordings were, indeed, of little value though in excellent shape...but one caught my eye and I am looking for some answers about the value of the item.

Why do you collect?

No explanation for that other than it gives me great pleasure...I started my first collection while still a pre-teen, circa 1961.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

Not sure where to start on this topic but collection is heavy on 60s popular music, jazz, avant-garde and a plethora of other genres...with many items inscribed. I have conspired with a well-known1960s counter-culture individual to have him write a single poem across 15 books, records, cds, and postcards, one line per item. Once I pass on and my collection redistributed...future collectors will need to track down all of the items to complete the signature set! I also have several items by American visionary folk artists from the South...most signed, or inscribed.
