Why do you want to join Autograph Live?
Have a been a reader of Autograph Magazine for years. Found your site recently and love the forum and stories.
Who can we thank for telling you about us?
Chris MacDonald - me, when looking for you on-line
What are your areas of interest?
Sports, History/Politics, Classic Hollywood and Stage, Music, Space/Aviation/Military
Why do you collect?
I love the challenge of collecing raw, rare and original pieces anyhwhere I can find them, get with my framing company to lay out the perfect setting / cuts, then pick out the fabrics for the top mats, buying the bottom matting from Hollanders papers - always seem to at least triple what I initially paid for the item, no matter how hard it is to let go once I've got it done ;o)
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
One of 3, my Mint 1781 signed document by John Hancock, my original 1877 photo taken by civil war photographer Mathew Brady of a 30 year old Edison, signed of course, or a letter Einstein signed just 3 years after the bombing of Hiroshima, on a Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists letterhead. Sports-wise, always something I've with a Babe Ruth autograph.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
baseball HOFer Christy Mathewson
