What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.

Living most of my life in Wisconsin, most of my collection is Packer and Brewer memorabilia. Signed footballs, baseballs, jerseys, photographs. I have some items I won through a sports radio station here in Phoenix when they do their annual "Not So Sweet 16" contest. Entrants, limited to 16, had to bring in some sports memorabilia item, preferably signed, and was then given a chance to draw from the teams. The winning team holder wins the entire collection. My item was a Brett Favre book signed by both Brett and his father. Some of the items I got from the contest is a Spaulding basketball with Michael Jordan's signature (no COA), Merlin Olson signed football, and a Sayers, Kramer, White signed football, and a Dan Marino LTD Lithograph. We have no way of knowing the value of any of these items, but my wife really wants to get rid of them before the move. Other items of perceived value would be several baseballs with signatures of Nolan Ryan; Wade Boggs; Ernie Banks, Warren Spahn, Billy Williams (and two others unrecognizable) on one ball; Paul Molitor and Robin Yount signed items, Reggie White autograph, Brett Favre signed football, etc.

Why do you want to join Autograph Live?

I have a collection of sports memorabilia that I have collected over the years, most prior to COAs. As my wife and I begin downsizing, and planning for retirement (already delayed) we need to find the value of some of these items to sell. Checking PSA/DNA and others I came across one of your forums about dealing with "authentication services", and thought it might be a valuable resource for us. We don't have the expendable funds to have these items "authenticated" only to have them tell us they are not. (Many came from my own efforts to get these signatures over the years, so I know they are real, but that and a dime might get me a bag of chips).

Why do you collect?

I'm a life long baseball and football fan, playing both sports in high school. I knew some of the Brewers from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, became a friend of Johnny Logan. I umpired for many years area high school baseball games, and was asked to be a replacement umpire for the Brewer's during the 1979 umpire strike. My passion for sports made me want to collect.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

Probably my1996 Packers team-signed regulation football. I stood in line for everyone of those signatures, many times waiting in the cold until the line moved inside. Another valuable item is the 500 Home Run Hitters lithograph with authenticated signatures from all the players, a gift from my wife.
