What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.

I have been a collector for over fifty years. I used to accompany my uncles who were photographers to New York, Chicago, and LA and I would mail in requests as well as seek autographs in person. My family also had quite a few collectors in it and I inherited many items. I began to purchase autographs once I had amassed some disposable income. Lately, I have been compelled to reduce my collection due to space as well as security and insurance issues.

Sports, History/Politics, Books/Literature, Modern Hollywood and Stage, Classic Hollywood and Stage, Music, Space/Aviation/Military

Why do you collect?

That is a complex question with no simple answer. Why do I keep trunks and files full of signed photographs? "Neurosis" would be at least partially true. The historical documents represent a cultural legacy; preserved bits of history. I am certainly not making any money off my reduction sales.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

Historical documents signed by military and political figures. I also like collect old TV, radio, and movie contracts for both the signatures and the interesting content. Many of my old glossy 8 by 10 's are now quite valuable
