"This is 100% fake with a fake COA. Jim’s Cards & Collectibles = Jim’s House."

About Me

What kind of member are you? (Check as many as apply.)
Collector, Fan, Dealer
What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.
I’m a Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Milwaukee Bucks fan. I really only collect actual memorabilia like equipment of the Vikings, but would like to get some Dodger pieces eventually, I’m not a huge fan of basketball, I only collect the cards really. I have quite a collection of Football and Baseball cards of all teams, but I’d like to get rid of all of them that aren’t my teams.
What is your level of expertise?
Beginner, Intermediate Collector
Why do you want to join Autograph Live?
I believe I’m being offered a fraudulent autograph with a fake COA. I’m a pretty new collector, I don’t really know for sure. I read some not great things about the company that issued the COA, that most of their items are fakes. I figured I could make a post here, link a picture of the suspected fake, and then link an authentic autograph for comparisons, and hopefully someone here will be able to save me from getting scammed or let me know it’s authentic and I’m good to go.
Who can we thank for telling you about us?
Victor Hernandez (not sure about the last name, his name is Victor Con Huevos on facebook, he sells me football cards often)
What are your areas of interest?
Sports
Why do you collect?
It’s one of the only things my dad and I did together when I was growing up. He used to have thousands and thousands of cards, one day we started alphabetically ordering them by team city, then player last name, rookie cards in the front, and eventually after a few weeks we sleeved them all up in 3x3 binder pages. I’ve never felt so accomplished as when we finally closed the last binder, I knew I’d be collecting cards for the rest of my life. Plus, I have a 3 year old daughter, and maybe one day, if need be, all these items I have laying around could pay for her college tuition, first car, etc. it’s not just a great memory or hobby to me, I see it as an investment as well.
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
My Justin Jefferson auto’d full size AMP revo speed reproduction. Or my Randy Moss on rookie card auto. I have a Justin Jefferson rookie auto card, I really like my irv smith jr rookie auto card, Alexander Mattison college uni auto Card, and Trae Wayne’s rookie auto card. I only have 1 autographed baseball card, by (should be) HOF’er Pete Rose.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
That’s a really tough one. I’m gonna give you one living and one dead. Living would be Adrian Peterson, the man that sparked my passion for the game of football and love for the Minnesota Vikings. Dead would have to be the greatest baseball player of all time, Babe Ruth, I watched the sandlot once when I was a very little kid, when he said “Remember kid, heroes get remembered, but legends never die” that really stuck with me. Now I know the real George Herman Ruth most likely never said that in his lifetime, the Babe Ruth from the sandlots words inspired me to do anything I can to become a legend, I started practicing baseball that same night with my dad, I was probably 10 years old if that, and I was god awful my first season. Mainly because my dad was right handed and couldn’t teach me to throw or bat left handed like my role model Babe Ruth. I wore the number 3 just like him all 10 years I played, and became a bit of a local legend here in Ashland, they call me HD.
