Hi, I would appreciate some feedback on this one. Not sure about the 'k' in Mick and the 'a' in Jagger. Is this an authentic early (perhaps late sixties, early seventies) autograph when he still…Continue

Hi, I purchased this recently and I would like an opinion on the item. It is a cut from an A4 page with various signatures, front and back, all signed to Thyra.  Some signatures I can make out,…Continue

"Lee ...the "M" looks good, the "J" looks good, and the "ger" looks good. What is it written on, and the overall condition ? Perhaps, take a pic of the entire piece. Spontaneous, IPA's are often wrinkled or…"

Early Mick Jagger?

Hi, I would appreciate some feedback on this one. Not sure about the 'k' in Mick and the 'a' in Jagger. Is this an authentic early (perhaps late sixties, early seventies) autograph when he still circled the 'i' in Mick? The 'a' bothers me most because in all the examples I have seen Jagger doesn't form the letter in this way. Perhaps it was a slightly rushed signature. Thanks.See More

"Lee, I'm no expert, but I like your Brando very much. Drop a comment with a link on Bobb Shinn's and Kevin Conway's profiles and ask for their opinions. They are better than I am at vintage Hollywood."

Marlon Brando - authenticate an early piece

Hi, I purchased this recently and I would like an opinion on the item. It is a cut from an A4 page with various signatures, front and back, all signed to Thyra.  Some signatures I can make out, others I can't and perhaps you can help with this too. On the back of the piece are the signatures of Rosemary Clooney and Jose Ferrer who were married 1953-1961 and 1964-1967. Regarding the identity of Thyra, Uta Thyra Hagen was married to Jose Ferrer 1938-1948 and they had a daughter Letitia Thyra…See More

Why do you collect?
I have been interested in movies for a long time. I was an in-person collector for several years but I found that the best autographs were signed years ago when celebrities bothered to sign their full name. So I now collect vintage signed cards, including early signatures of modern day film stars. I particularly like signatures which date to the period in which the celebrity became famous or the period for which they are best known,
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
James Dean
