About Me

What kind of member are you? (Check as many as apply.)
Collector
What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.
I collected mostly in 1992-1994. My uncle and I would look up addresses of celebrities or historical figures we were interested in and sent them a letter along with an index card and a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and hope we got something in return.
What is your level of expertise?
Beginner
Why do you want to join Autograph Live?
I want to find out more about the autographs I collected when I was younger.
Who can we thank for telling you about us?
Was not invited by a member - joining for my own interest in the hobby
What are your areas of interest?
Sports, History/Politics, Modern Hollywood and Stage, Music, Space/Aviation/Military
Why do you collect?
At first it was out of curiousity as to what kind of responses I would get through the mail, and who would respond. As I started getting autos back I became more and more interested in obtaining autographs of celebrities and historical figures. To me, an autograph is a "moment in time" of that particular individual, and to be lucky enough to receive that from certain celebrities is a treasure.
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
Hard to choose - favorites would be the historical figures such as the Supreme Court justices from the early 90s, Gerald Ford, Neil Armstrong, and signed sketches by Matt Groening, Trey Parker & Matt Stone, and Jim Davis (assuming all these are authentic)
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
Ronald Reagan
