Why do you collect?
Aside from what I acquire for resale (episodic - I'm not a dealer), I keep signed works of certain authors I admire - an extra personal touch. This especially pertains to current authors.
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
In truth, those written by my father-in-law, George Petrides. Otherwise, I don't know.... One would be An Authentic Narrative on the Loss of the American Brig Commerce... by James Riley (1817).
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
