Adding a Vincent Price autograph is essential to any collection of horror autographs.

Am I the only autograph collector who finds themself going through phases of interests in their collecting habits?  Although most of my autograph collection is related to Star Wars, I find myself occasionally focusing my collection on other areas of interest.  I am a big fan of Swamp Thing, and everything related to the character, as well.

My Swamp Thing #1 comic, autographed by Derek Mears.

Every October, I consider adding autographs that are related to horror to my collection.  I have also added original comic art related to horror to my collection.  I suppose that it is only natural to be interested in adding these pieces when the surrounding atmosphere is inescapable.  I have also added to my collection of baseball autographs whenever the weather would become warmer, and the spring season would approach.  The changing seasons must trigger something in my collecting interests.

The nice thing about collecting autographs is the variety of what is available to us as collectors.  Our collections are a window into our personalities, and may be observed the same way that a private library may be observed.  Our autograph collections speak volumes.

What does your collection of autograph subdivisions say about you?
