Can someone answer me this question, or give me some insight as to why this is being done?

There is a dealer on Ebay that goes by the name "frogtown". They are a book dealer that has gone heavily into buying autographs at auctions, at prices that are high end auction prices. Once they win the item it is posted on Ebay at an unreal price.

I get the fact that this is good for the auction house, it's seller, and that it's a free country, but "Why?"

Is it to get the recognition on Ebay? Things don't sell? They just keep re-listing the item on Ebay.

Or could this be an uneducated person that does not understand the business ?

Are they hurting the hobby with these unreal prices?

Here are some prices of what they have listed:

The Beatles Signed 8x10 Photo 1965 COA by Frank Caiazzo  $25,000

Mark Twain Signed Photo 1909 Sold at Sotheby's 2003  $18,500

Ernest Hemingway Signed Photo  $17,000

And so on, please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you

If you think they're High Priced, check out History Direct, makes your guy looks quite reasonable.....

Here is a photo that might bring $2000-4000 MAYBE on a good day at auction:

But History Direct?  How about $60,000?

Good question. I have consigned a few items through Heritage Auctions which sold for around $100 each and a month later I see them on ebay for $5000 each? Still not as bad as the seller who wants $2 million for a Vincent Price signed Thriller Album

History Direct must not care of they ever sell anything or not.
