What brings you to Autograph Live?
To share my behind-the-scenes excitement of chasing down celebrities from all walks in life for their autographs on golf balls. I claim to have one of the largest autographed golf ball collections in America. With over 300 inscribed balls in my bag, my hobby memoir, Hooked on Autographs, describes my favorite stories in garnering and gathering the signed golf balls. Net proceeds are donated to our returning severely wounded soldiers being treated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.
Who can we thank for telling you about Autograph Live?
I received an e-mail inviting me to join Autograph Magazine Live.
What do you collect, or want to collect?
Sports
Tell us more about your collection, specific areas of interest, etc.:
From Arnold Palmer to Tiger Woods, to Michael Jordan and Donald Trump, from Jack Lemmon to Bob Hope, to over one hundred PGA and LPGA Tour golfers, and seven U.S. presidents, Ive been a collector on the prowl for the past two decades. Hooked on Autographs is an unforgettable collection of anecdotes and yarns that highlight what it took me to obtain my treasure trove of signed golf balls. Readers will come away with a better understanding and appreciation of the art of collecting autographs.
What is your level of expertise?
Advanced Collector
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
Arnold Palmer. "The King" signed my first ball on October 25, 1989, at the inaugural Transamerica Senior Golf Championship at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California. A close second is Tiger Woods's autograph obtained at Stanford University in 1995 when he was a sophomore. Tiger stopped signing golf balls in 1997 shortly after winning his first Masters. Honestly, I treasure all of my signed golf balls. They're all like family to me.
Why do you collect?
For the challenge of hunting down celebrities for their John Hancocks and for the love and passon of collecting prized signatures on golf balls and other golf memorabilia. For me, the thrill of the hunt is more fun than my two holes-in-one.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
Babe Ruth on a golf ball

Sam Bradford (Heisman Trophy winner 2008) Home Address

Posted on February 21, 2013 at 10:59pm 4 Comments

I would like to write a personal letter to Sam Bradford. I know that I can send a letter either to the University of Oklahoma or to the St. Louis Rams to have these two places refer my letter to Sam. There's no guarantee my letter will be forwarded. If anyone out there has an address where I can reach Sam, I would be most appreciative. I requested the same information for Heisman winner Mike Rozier and someone came through for me.   Joe Galiardi, author, Hooked on…

I want to write a personal letter to Heisman Trophy winner Mike Rozier. I've been told that he and his family reside in South Jersey. That's all I know. If anyone out there knows how I can get in touch with Mike, I'd be most appreciative.  Joe Galiardi, author of Hooked on Autographs

Morgan Freeman

I collect autographed golf balls as a hobby. I would like to get movie actor Morgan Freeman's autograph on a golf ball, but need his home address. I know that Morgan is an avid golfer. Even if someone knows where Morgan golfs, would help me. Appreciate any help I can get from Autograph Magazine subscribers.  Joe Galiardi, author, Hooked on Autographs.

In chapter 14 of my book, Hooked on Autographs, I offer 10 suggestions for novice autograph seekers on how to obtain autographs. Number 7 tip is don't forget about asking friends to help get sought-after signatures. I practice what I preach.

I was visiting my sister, Rose, in Maryland last month. Rose's late husband was a major general in the U.S. Army and was the Commading Officer of Walter Reed Army Medical Center until his…
