What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.

I began collecting with Frank Caiazzo in the '80s when he worked for his wife's father. He taught me how to identify fakes and what to look for in authentic signatures. He later became a leading figure in authentication. I also collaborated with Tom Fontaine, who had a complex transition into retirement from selling Authentic Memorabilia. I bought and sold Beatles and rock memorabilia until my day job began to consume too much of my time.

I worked with Frank Caiazzo in the '80s & '90s in buying/selling and authenticating the Beatles' four signatures. With those four sigs, I can separate faux from genuine.

Why do you collect?

PRIMARILY BEATLES; Music, Politics, One-Offs, Cinema, and Television. I have some Beatles memorabilia, along with items related to Rock, film, and TV that I want to sell. I also possess some remarkable INFERIS posters, including a complete band-signed Led Zeppelin poster, Annie Hall, and American Beauty

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

A signed John Lennon item from 1971, when he was staying at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago. My friend and I, then first-year college students, introduced ourselves to him. He was friendly and took photos of us while we photographed Yoko and John. One particular photo shows John signing for a small group of early-morning businesspeople and the bus driver. The signed photo is framed with his signature visible, and it includes the Caiazzo COA. Frank mentioned it was among the nicest Lennon signatures he's seen.
