Hey guys, I used to send out a lot of letters to celebrities and athletes as a kid, and had some pretty decent success. I've attached photos of some of my successes: Elton John, Sylvester Stallone, Tony Curtis, John Travolta, Al Pacino, Phil Rizzuto, Johnny Unitas, and Reggie Jackson. I had the Unitas certified by JSA recently, so that one should be good. The Jackson ball came back with a hologram from his company, so that should be good as well (I sent $20 along with ball and letter when I wrote to Jackson). The ones I'm really skeptical of are the Pacino and Stallone autos. I just think those successes are too good be true. They may be secreterials. All of these successes are about 8 years old, by the way. Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks!

It's hard to view them sideways, but from what is given the phil rizutto and reggie look nice in my opinion.
Thanks. Yea, I'm not sure why they came out sideways. When I access this page from my iPhone, the photos are upright. Haha. Weird.
The Jackson and the Rizzuto are good...I actually am waiting for a ttm from Jackson currently that I sent out probably a week ago...I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back unsigned or nothing at all..even if he sends a money request I think that would be better then nothing....I have been very fortunate to have met Reggie and Phil in person...even if Jackson was not very friendly towards me...also when Phil was around he also sent me a money request...so all in all you did good...even for $20.00
the rizzuto, unitas and jackson look good, as does the Elton John.
You kind of have everything sideways in the pictures so it's sort of tough. I believe those Tony Curtis' go through PSA & JSA, take that with a grain of salt if you're actually interested in what's real and what's not.
I disagree Mike, the Elton John is authentic.  He send authentic stuff back from time to time. the rest are no good like you said.
Hey Mike, thanks for the information. Your responses have been very helpful. I was 95% sure the Pacino, Stallone, and Travolta were secreterials. The reasons I thought the Elton John might be authentic were because the signature matched up pretty well with some of the JSA examples I've seen on eBay, and also because it took about 6 or 7 months to get a response from him (which was about 8 years ago). The secreterials I've received over the years usually came back in less than 2 weeks. Is it possible that he signs a bit differently in person than through the mail? Anyway, you are definitely more of an expert than I, and I really appreciate your help. Thanks!
the elton signatures do not look like the quick flourish autos he gives in person or even some of the nicer ones I was getting back in the day (was always bigger and not as tight). BUT the photo does match what i have always been told is authentic mail signatures from him. i do not know for certain because i am not there seeing him sign his mail, but this style is always passed by the ABC cos. Could be real or could be another Charlton Heston situation.

want to sell the elton john one?

Brian - I have a couple of Elton signed 10x8 promo photos for sale if interested?

hey bud! how are you?  hope all is well and you are staying safe. good to hear from you. do you have anything possibly besides the promos available? i know you weren’t selling a lot but just curious? any notes or cuts or anything else besides photos? i’m not a big photo fan myself so i’m trying to get something besides photos

if at all possible.
