It’s probably authentic, but overpriced at $800. If it were a signed Aaliyah concert ticket or something music related, then I’d understand the price. But this is a random sporting event signed ticket without any sort of authentication. I’ve collected multiple Aaliyah autographs over the last 18 years. The funny thing is I reached out to HA Auctions back in 2015 hoping to sell a PSA/DNA authenticated Aaliyah autograph and it was declined because they valued it at “$200-$300”. I’m not sure why there’s this sudden increase in her autograph value. Recently I saw one sell that looked like a complete fake on RR Auctions for over $1,000. My guess is the people buying them aren’t true fans. It’s just another “notch” in their autograph belt and since there was a renewed interest in her life because of the R Kelly scandal, her autograph prices went up. I’d still caution against paying $800 for an item like that, though. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your response- I appreciate it! I saw a few listed on eBay selling for about $3000 so I figured that this might be a decent buy, but I think they’re pretty rare to find nonetheless

So you purchased it just to post it on eBay for $8,000? That’s never going to sell. There ones listed for 3,000 have been on there for at least 7 years. Never understood the point

I purchased it for less than $800 but of course on eBay people list up to 5X the amount to get in the views, probably taking offers around $2000, I think it’s a fair price. Also don’t really plan on selling anything on eBay, just have it listed anyways so if it sells it sells, if not I’m happy to just hold onto it it for now.
