Over at an autograph forum.  One of the members (Autographhound1) brought up how Lynda Carter's ttm's are secretarials.  He does post some examples of ip's and ttm's.  And he seems spot on.  Anyone here have opinions on this?

Here is his post..

I still see people getting her TTM and marking them down as authentic so I figured this would be a good time to go over her graph.

Lynda has used a secretary for many years and the vast majority of her TTM graphs are bad. Once you look at a handful of in person graphs you can see the TTM just don't match up right.

I'm going to attach some in person shots done "To Jeff" and some TTM also "To Jeff". First, Lynda almost never puts the A in Lynda. If you look at a dozen in person examples, you'll maybe find 1 where some kind of actual A is there. Her in person graph looks like "Lynd Carter". I know there are more differences going on there, maybe someone like Poldark could chime in and point something else out. But for me, the A is the first thing I look for when I see one. The inscription, as usual, is where the secretary falls apart. Look at the in person "To Jeff" and look how she ends the second F. She loops in to the left. She always does this with my name. Now look at the secretarial examples. The second F comes out to the right. Now look at the capital J. No matter what the name, her capital J has a bend to it. Look at the secretarial capital J's. You can follow a straight line from the top of the J to the bottom of it. Now try doing that with an in person. The inscriptions are different because you've got a different person signing the mail. It's not Lynda.

Hahaha Greg!

The first pic is ip and the 2nd is ttm.  As you can see the "a" in Lynda is not on the ip.

(Again credit for these pics and info goes to Autographhound1 at the Star Tiger autograph forum.)

I understand PSA says its legit...but, can we trust them?  If you look at every ttm their is always an A.  When its ip its without.

Saw this from a member of the fanmail.biz board.  Just wanted to add it to the discussion...

As this is the most recent success listed I wanted to add this info to the post. In the past week several posters have started saying Lyndas autos are sec and posted a page on is it real. I follow Lynda on facebook and gave her the is it real link and told her about what was being said and how it was putting several people off writing her. She kindly answered me and I will copy & paste her response shortly as I am on my phone in hospital at the moment.

Lynda states she signs every photo herself and has never charged her fans for her auto as she appreciates us. She said sign your name 100 times on a photo and see if they all come out the same. So for the record from the lady herself her autographs ttm are 100/ AUTHENTIC & are NOT secretarial.

Hope this puts this one to bed! Also makes me question how well researched the info on is it real is?

Not sure...Here are the reasons I do and do not believe it...

-I know what she said..But, of course she wouldn't admit it.  So that alone doesn't convince me.

-On her website.  She has a section about where and how to write to her.  If she didn't want to sign.  Why bother putting on there.

-Yes, I understand the TTM's have the "a" and the Ip's don't.  But, it could be that she is rushed ip as opposed to sitting at home or her office and signing at her own pace.

So again...I am just not sure.  Over at the fanmail biz...even before Ms.Carter's statement refuse to believe her sigs were secretarial.  So who knows.  I guess we will never be 100% sure either way.

She lies sorry to burst your bubble... We received 2 exact same  pp's...ttm is pp's..if you send in a pic it's secretarial.. If in person it's legit..

Remember.... Charlton Heston lied over and over again about signing his mail, John Travolta has point blank lied... it's common.    Again... the handwriting of the inscriptions "To Jeff" were completely different in person vs. TTM.   The whole"not every signature looks the same" excuse is just some lame reason you'd give to regular fans who don't know what they're doing or looking at.  The handwriting of the inscriptions speaks volumes.  It's consistent when it's in person.. and it's consistent when it's TTM.... it's just not consistent when you compare in person to TTM... which says it all.  She's fake TTM.

As others have said better than me, a celebrity saying his/her TTMs are authentic doesn't mean they are. Celebrities are human and they lie just like non-celebrity humans.

Every single autograph I have received is compared to in person autographs and every single one of them have been deemed authentic.. Not all celebrities are disrespectful to their fans...disrespectful celebrities lose not only my respect, but also my support..

When I started collecting over 30 years ago, preprints and autopens were usually pretty easy to figure out but there wasn't a lot of info about secretarial TTM signers. Now there is. I have done the research and a significant minority of TTMs I have gotten over the years have turned out to be secretarials. One of these days I'm going to post them all and call the collection my Hall of Shame!

As far as being disrespectful, I don't think most celebs who respond with sec'ys, autopens or preprints look at it as being disrespectful to their fans. After all, it would be easier and cheaper for them just to throw fan requests in the trash. Of course, those of us who value authenticity would much prefer that to getting a non-authentic response.

I just don't understand why they do this. If I was a celebrity there is no way I would ever use any of the fake methods. I'd rather just not do it at all. It says a lot about the person (unless it's some sort of management thing that they know nothing about).
