Hi Gang, stumbled upon this site recently and thought I'd throw one at you for your thoughts.  I picked this up off ebay. Seller of the bootleg Jimi record did not mention the sleeve was signed.  There are for sure some similarities in my research but also some things that make me wonder.

1. Were plastic sleeves around in late 60's / 70? It surely feels old. But if those weren't around when Jimi was welp that's a quick fix to the mystery :) hehe.

2. I don't think the sleeve was on this record more than likely as we lost Jimi a couple months after this show.

I will say that his earlier autos are more 'normal' writing.. and that it kind of became more solidified as time went on.

I also think it would be an awkward sign as well to sign a sleeve like this so I'm thinking it might 'tweak' a few letters.. I'm thinking this might eat away at how 'rounded' some letters are.

There looks to be the beginning of another auto on the back.. almost looks like the pen didn't work at first.. got the pen going then started to write something.. ? then went to other side and made it to John.. these are just guesses..it could be some guy named Sam that was having fun for all I know.. but there is a vibe to the sleeve for sure.  The "x" gets me going.

I'm not interested in trying to sell it.. just curious for your opinion on authenticity. What's your gut tell you?

Thanks, Greg...I've never seen anything like this list. You're well on the way to putting together the ultimate Jimi Hendrix autograph study. Perhaps you and Roger Epperson can work on it?
Wow that is a great list.  Ya I think someone was just having fun on this ;)  Now I want a Jimi auto.. hehe.  Welp I know who to bug when I get one.  Tnx for your time on this.

This is one of the least Jimi Hendrix-looking autographs I think I've ever seen.
