I was visiting a reputable autograph shop in New York City last week and I noticed that he had quite a few Mickey Mantle signed items. Since I have become a member of Autograph Magazine Live! I have become skeptical of every Mickey Mantle autograph that I see now. Can you blame me? I am sure that the items for sale were authentic but I have no way of knowing since I am not familiar with identifying the many that are not. My question is simply this. How can I identify a Mickey Mantle signature as authentic? I am sure that I am not the only one with this question and since many of you are experts on this I was hoping that you would post some examples and responses. Thanks in advance.

no one is going to post all of the specifics in how to authenticate a Mantle, on this site, for obvious reasons. I suggest you look at some of the pics posted of fake and real mantle's on this site, and do your own comparison and education.
Thanks Terrier. I didn't consider the obvious. I was reading some of Larry Rosenbaum's discussion last night. I guess that's as good a start as any.
