It is NOT a mystery.

Seller told you point blank he never divulges such information - "it is not allowed".

Seller is then seen divulging such information regularly anyway, just not to you.

Other individuals with expereince tell you the "story" of not being able to divulge this information is pure BS.

You still believe the seller. That is the mystery IMHO.

Is anyone seeing anything in these images, the green and more?

Lack of "r"? Connections? The "a" way to the left? Baseline? Relative scale of large features? "Tweaks" or twinges of...strangeness?

Spacing/relationship of "a" and "o" - they also echo each other in a way but not so in the questioned example.

How often do Jones autographs lack the underline Paul mentioned?

I can see what your getting at Eric, google tracks uk and they have about 6 brian jones , stones sets.
One is inside of the b.

Yes, I see the one you mean I believe, big "B" there (tad unusual?), but that "a" is still halfway to the J" in relationship, and there is still a clear "r". One of the exemplars I used was from Tracks.

I do not know music autographs and am the first to admit that.  I do however value and respect both Paul and Eric greatly.  I am not going to advise you merely state what I would do if I were you.  If you only got a Quick Opinion from Roger I would send the original in for a full LOA from him.  I hope things work out good for you.

Good idea Paul. Seller has up right now a very strong complete Rolling Stones album page with clean/nice signatures in matching blue said to be OK'd by Rger for...$599 Buy it Now? And this lone Jones in question was $450 just a while back? This seems very strange to me.

I am sure the seller has many wonderful items; he has 3 or 4 Hendrix right now including a color SP and Experience stage used equipment that he states was purchased from a Bonhams auction. He mentioned sources frequently. Now, this is really confusing, because this seller has been telling Nicholas that "established auction policies" prevent him from ever revealing an auction house - that this is the norm in the autograph industry. The "proof papers" (photocopies) that came with the Jones have the relevant data about the auction scratched out. When asked about the auction house, just the name, he keeps saying he can not know who sold the Jones to the auction house (which he will never name). But, that was not the question he was asked...

The Jones reminds me of some things I see coming from across the pond - framed, larger album page in white with no apparent age, always a clean Reverse, undedicated, usually ballpoint, often Rock & Roll, and an odd off look observed by at least 4 people. That with sellers strange behavior, his comments ("If people knew where I got my stuff I'd never make a sale" and more) combined with other weirdness...I would return this Jones.
