Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

it the inscription does not look like it was signed in the same hand as the actual signature.  Maybe JLL pre-signed a bunch, and she personalized them.  the handwriting is too neat to be JLL's.

Does this inscription appear to be in the same hand as the "To Matt"? How about the signature and "Keep Rockin'" inscription?

Here's a bonus signed photo that was included with the LP. Same "Thank"? The "Killer" inscription looks very similar to one that XP Autographs insists was obtained in person in July of 2005:

Here's a signed photo to JLL's friend, schoolmate and one-time manager Cecil Harrelson. According to the seller, Tracks UK, the inscription is in the hand of JLL. Compare the "To" to the note on the gift bag pictured in Chad's blog.

How could the person who wrote "Killer Jerry Lee Lewis" on the left and drew the craggy arrow write what was written on the right?

I'd be surprised if he couldn't be bothered to write an inscription to a longtime friend. Here again is one that Mark Roberts received TTM after the above photo was signed. This has been deemed authentic. How could the person who signed the photo produce such a beautiful signature?

We don't know when the inscription was written.... it could have been before JJL got the photo in his hands.  The hand writing on the "Killer Jerry Lee Lewis" speaks for itself.

I agree and was thinking the exact same thing Steve.

You read my mind -

So is the inscription from the photo in a different hand than the inscription from Steve Viola's signed LP pictured below?

Your signed LP pictured above is fine. Correct?

Great work Chad!

Thank you for all the time you put into this!

Mark

Wonderful job!  Was fun reading.  I got something back from JLL in Dec.  Was very happy with it.

Did you pay for something? Want to share? I haven't seen a ttm return in a while. Thanks.

Yes I a paid.  I asked Judith before sending if JLL is still signing thru the mail for a fee.  Took about 4-5 weeks
