What is the thing that gives it away? I have seen quite a few signatures that are extremely close to this one certified by some of the largest firms.

Pen-speed.

The only so-called "authenticators" who cert that DiMaggio forgery-style are GFA (Stephen Rocchi), Ted Taylor, Drew Max, Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales, etc.
