I'm giving a quick opinion> it looks close.

I personally believe it's authentic.

Here ya go,dug one of mine out. Looks pretty darn close. Love this guy. From what I know usually a good signer but not a raccer (one per not signing a stack). Great singer and wish the real Genesis would return!

Well said Ian, I dig they're early work too.  This album is fantastic: Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot.

Peter is a theatrical genius.  And, he incorporates it into his music.

I don't know this signature, but I searched for that on eBay and those "photo proof" pictures are generic and mean nothing at all. "Exact Proof" should be just that. Those picture show Gabriel signing a copy of this somewhere, sometimes for someone. You can not see any signature or anything else. It is a generic photo. Perhaps the signature is good, I don't know, but that is not "exact proof" in my book. Not sure why it is listed as such?

There is a thread going on right now about "proof photos".

There is a photo of Peter Gabriel with his arm extended like meeting another's hand (probably the seller) and they were albums in his hand - one of which was mine.

No. "Probably the seller" says it all. You are making an assumption. Maybe that album was mine - show it was not. How can you know the album was certainly the one offered if it is not in any photograph in any way? I don't like when sellers claim "photo proof" and show a generic photo. Signature may well be fine, but to believe that "proof" as shown means anything would be an error.

You're right Eric.

Hi Nicholas, Not interested in being right, just lending a hand :)

All Good

Its only exact proof if it shows the exact item with pen on item. Nothing else. That's been one of my pet peeves forever when I go to look at something and see the generic "proof" pic. The sellers only do themselves a disservice, as it looks sketchy when they claim otherwise. I think you're safe on this graph though.
