To post or not to post?

I just wanted to ask collectors,if they share their graph to the public or perhaps choose not to share them and the pro's & cons of both parties.

I enjoy sharing my experiences. If I can help someone out, who to go after or who to stay away from when trying to get in-person autographs, I feel is a good thing. I also don't mind showing the autographs that I get. That way people can see how that artist signs and if they have changed over time. To me, it's no big deal.

I think there is probably more risk in showing off your collection in your home than online.

Did the plumber or rug cleaning guy see you have a bunch of valuable goodies?

Even if they are the most honest people in the world, all they need to do is mention to a less than reputable acquaintance, "Yeah, I was in this guy's house today and he had a room full of the coolest stuff..."

That said, prowlers probably would not fare too well in my neighborhood. We all watch out for each other and devotedly subscribe to the freedoms prescribed in the Second Amendment. :-)

I have to agree with the masses... Part of the fun of hobbies is being able to share it and chat with other about common interests.

I'm a music collector. Most of my family and friends think I'm insane for waiting for an autograph... like I'm a stalker or obsessed fan. For me, I do it because, as an amateur musician myself, I look up to certain talent and appreciate what they bring to the world. I enjoy capturing just an autograph if I can because getting an autograph for me reminds me of a sense of connection with whom I admire.

So coming here, and I'll speak on others behalf possibly, that this is an outlet to connect with those who understand where you come from.

I love hearing stories and earning tips from others. If I can help others it makes me feel just as great!

Its always nice to hear from pristine collectors to see what beautiful things are out there right down to that autograph you've always longed for that you get, even though its a chicken scratch or smudged due to circumstantial events.

Whether an autograph is $50 or $500... Every autograph has a story, just like every rock in the earth was created under different circumstances. Signatures will forever be around, that goes without saying.

Keep the posts coming. Keep the stories coming. Deep down, we all love it!
