JOHNNY CASH - Is this autograph real?

Signed on an 8X10 in Black Sharpie. On the back there is a small date written Sept 23. 1985.

I checked the back of the photo and you can tell its old placed in an album for many years.

Any thoughts?

Here is an in person Cash signature from, I believe, April, 1987. I might be off by a year, but either way, it's from the same general time frame. My mom got this in person in Minnesota at a signing in a shopping mall a day or so after seeing him in concert.

I'm hardly an expert on his signature, but perhaps you can use it for reference.
