Heritage has had a hit or miss track record recently (as they "missed" on a Beatles "Help" LP signed by 3).

Any thoughts on this one?  (Supposedly from the '75 WFIL Philly signing)

Needless to say, ultra-jealous!

Seems quite a rounded signature compared to those of a few months later.

I know it can be a pain in the posterior to scan/photograph things but do you think you can get a better/closer image of the autograph itself? Probably tough to scan an LP with a normal scanner but maybe a close up photo in daylight would be as good.

I have since framed the album, but when I get home from work I will try to take a close up.

Hey Ben.....GREAT Lennon piece!!  Have I seen that before? I've seen the whiskers on an LP cover like this. Was that yours?

Yes, I originally posted this here three years ago.

I thought so...such a great item!!!

Thanks, Jim
As requested by Pug, here is a closer view. Sorry about the glare, but I think you can see the strokes and ink flow. Keep in mind this was signed on a street corner and John did not have a solid, flat surface on which to place the album.

That has more of the characteristics im used to seeing in a Lennon, with the loops and the j. The imagine in red pen also.

Thank you Ben. Very nice - and a very good photo too.

Paul, not sure what you mean by red pen - is my monitor up the creek?

First page, scroll down.

Thanks Paul.

I, for one, could certainly use that signature study. In the later examples, like Ben's, I even find it hard to work out whether the letter that looks like an "h" is actually a capital "L" and the letter that looks like an "e" is an "e" or an "l".

Its an L.
