Hi Henry,

You seem surprised? The closing price that you mentioned of $381 is in line with recent auction results. Every loose cut Garland signature sold at R&R for example since 2012 has been between $290+ and just under $400, including some more vintage. Considering the rippled glued condition, odd/tight trim, the lack of dedication or inscription, and the rather hard to mat yellow album paper, that $ reached might be a "lot". In it's favor - it is bolder than some (she had a light hand) and the signature style is mid to later 1960's I believe.

Yes, I was a little surprised - seems a lot for that scrappy yellow paper. I’ve never collected OZ stuff and I guess not surprised because of the classic movie and the concerts and her entire life and Liza! Just bought a Nibbles signed by ET so there goes my budget for the year!!

Well, it is a reasonable value. Prices are creeping upward. But, I would still search for something with an inscription and hopefully as date. She is not THAT rare. If this little scrap was inscribed and had a period note from the collector stating a theatre and a year, perhaps The Palace 1966 or some such, it would garner more interest, from me anyway. So much is eye appeal (with condition)...I I know from my own collection many album pages are a light yellow, pink or blue, but I think white or cream would be preferred.

Congrats on the new ET - have you shown it here?

Not yet - will put up tomorrow or the next day - I actually have 3 nibbles - 2 signed be ET and one her mother. The one I just got was $200 but worth it to me. I just realized that I think I have 4 younger ET signatures.

The lot also included a Margaret Hamilton and Clara Blandick signatures which makes it a very fair deal. Blandick is very uncommon to find.

Oh right - as I mentioned my estimated value was independent of those. The Blandick looked decent. Hamilton was later felt tip. This was a very decent lot then - Blandick can bring more than Garland!
