Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

Great post wascher

I didn't realize MJ collectors were so fierce and childish at the same time.

This is the biggest dilemma for me. Whether to point out the reasons it's fake or legit and give the wrong people the knowledge. In private is a different story for me.

Each will have a differing opinion on what is best for them

Back up for sale by ryan_paul90 , the Bambi drawing

Here is a stunning colour drawing of the cartoon character bambi, drawn and signed in pencil by the Michael Jackson

Originally won from a charity auction in the mid 90’s.

2 coa's come with the item, original which provides neverland ranch details, and a second appraisal certificate from Aftal

This is the real deal, one off piece

Thanks for looking

I knew I saw these drawings before that "Ryan Paul" claimed he got in person.

Here are the originals that sold in "UK" for 105.33 by seller traderuk7   There were 6 drawings in one auction (Ryan stated here he had gotten 3 of them himself "20 yrs ago" -- 2 of his are included here in this sale)  Should also note Ryan plans on suing our site if we don't take his 2 drawings down--one he posted on our site himself.

Interestingly the seller follows Ericks bluelifesaver account LOL!! (really????)

Here are the items from that sale with the description at the end.

Michael Jackson Hand Drawn And Signed Artwork

Strange Head/Face And Eye Drawing On A4 Paper - Esoteric And Robotic/Lack Of Humanity Connotations - Profound

Thanks for visiting my auction and let me firstly give you some background information...

I'm selling a total of 6 autographed artwork pieces hand drawn by Michael Jackson - the undisputed KING OF POP!

They have been valued at $1,000/£650 to $3,000/£2,000 each by a major auction house, but unfortunately I cannot wait so long until the next auction in a few months from now. Hence, I'm selling them on Ebay and hoping they achieve a fair price.

Provenance...

They come from a fan club event in London, where MJ donated many pieces of signed art, albums and a fedora for the proceeds to be given to charity. The pieces were won at this event and this was before MJ's untimely death, luckily they were very good value compared to their worth now.

The drawings were presented complete with a certificate of authenticity from MJJ Productions and EPIC MUSIC, also signed by Michael Jackson. You will receive a high quality colour copy of this along with your autographed drawing.

Postage/Shipping...

Each item will be sent to you securely, via registered service and sandwiched between cardboard to ensure your item arrives safely.

Each autographed drawing is a unique piece and IDEAL as a special gift/Christmas present. They will only increase in value in the future that's for sure!

Please look after these rare items as no more will be made (obviously) and happy bidding :-)

More digging, just for you Zarelli :)

Ryan Paul has a feedback of 69.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ryan_paul90

The buyer of the items has a feedback of 693 (that buyer more than likely is someone who either backed out or shilled the item up as the seller) - person prior to the buyer has a 69 feedback... same as Ryan.

Ryan bought the lot for $103.33

And there is feedback on Ryan's account from traderuk7 - 2 lots

great work wascher

I contacted him on ebay and requested photo's of his provenance

wait n see

and here is his reply to me...

New message from: ryan_paul90 (69Blue Star)

Goodcat have u got a name?

I think we may of got off the wrong foot, it’s dawned on me that on my feedback as buyer you have seen me by loads from a Canadian seller, and you think all my collections from him. This seller, everything I brought from him was fake once I had it looked at so I returned everything and got refund.
I’m just a normal guy who try’s to source autographs as a hobbie have them looked at then if real keep as an investment like I said I’ve had more fake then real I’m not out to scam any body.

Here’s screenshot I sent everything back to that dodge seller

Anyway no point keep talking about it

Cool

He sucks at lying.  Here is Lizzie's post to the eBay auction with photos back on October 31, 2015 where he bought them from traderuk7

People like this guy are the reason we post on these.  So they can't fabricate stories like "I got them 20 yrs ago".

I wonder if he is related to Simon Parr.  He sounds a lot like him.

Another ink drawing in a style that we know so well (and which is documented thoroughly starting from page 1 of this thread):

A miscellaneous other drawing with a very optimistic price tag ($45,000).  Interesting description below:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Michael-Jackson-Original-Personal-Art/1631...

Michael Jackson was an amazing artist. From music to paper he made some beautiful artwork. This is an abstract piece that looks to be a self portrait.
I have not sent this off for certification so bid at your own risk. I took this piece as a down payment/deposit for a job on a customer's cabin. I have not sent this off for grading yet due to the cost and potential for it to be lost or stolen. It came from a Michael Jackson collector who I built a cabin for. He gave this to me as a deposit/down payment. After work was completed, he offered to pay the deposit in full in exchange for the artwork. But after taking it to two different experts I decided to keep it based on their opinion. Now I'm putting it up for sale.
First expert I showed the piece to specialized in modern art and mediums.
Her conclusion is as follows:
Paper is 114lb 185 GSM. Size: 9"x12". Typically used for colored pencils. Materials used were, black permanent marker, colored pencil, and a fine point pigment ink (brands unknown) Art was outlined with the fine point marker and the permanent marker over it.
The signature is written in the same fine point marker as it is drawn in.
Artist appears to be right handed.
The characteristics seem to coincide with his other art such as the number 7 and reversed number 7 on the cheek. The large eyes and style of lips as well.
Could not verify it was Michael's art until the signature was verified to be authentic.
No chemical tests were done because of the extra cost associated with it.
I also have taken it to one local autograph expert who specializes in sports memorabilia. He did authenticate the signature but asked for a $2,000 payment for a hard copy certification note. I'm not sure if this is standard practice but since he wasn't a entertainment memorabilia professional and not familiar with Michael Jackson's signature, I refused to pay the fee for the certificate.
His conclusion after evaluating the autograph is as follows:
The autograph is consistent with Michael's signatures later in his life.
The lines overlap in the same pattern as his examples.
The flow of the autograph is consistent with those in examples of Michael's in his later years.
The autograph shows signs that the marker was almost out of ink.
The angle of the marker contributed to the low amount of ink on the signature and also caused an impression in some areas due to the tip holder contacting the paper.
Also concluded it was done by a right handed person.
He concluded that the signature is authentic.
He certified the ink was from the correct era with inferred microscope.
It has been kept in a moisture free environment and sealed. I have done my best not to get any finger prints on it and almost always used gloves in case his finger prints are still on the artwork.
Please feel free to have someone look at the pictures of the autograph. I welcome the feedback. I'm confident after showing this to 2 experts that it is 100% authentic but I cannot claim it is. I'm just unable to pay the outrageous fees for a certificate. I'm completely open to offers or ideas for having it certified.
If you are willing to pay the fees associated with getting this certified before bidding, I'm more than willing to personally take this somewhere in my area to get it evaluated and appraised and would hold your spot as the top bidder. Please contact me via email and we can work something out.
Otherwise it will go to the highest offer.
!Something like this may never show up again at auction!
I'm open to reasonable offers and I feel my asking price is more than fair since it isn't certified.

Please ask any questions before bidding.
I can provide more pictures, details and even willing to meet in person to show the piece.
I will accept PayPal only or cash in person.
I'M CONFIDENT BASED ON THE CLIENTS COLLECTION OF JACKSON MEMORABILIA THAT THIS IS 100% AUTHENTIC. THAT BEING SAID,
I WILL ACCEPT A RETURN WITHIN 14 DAYS OF DELIVERY TO YOU (NOT WITHIN DATE OF SALE) PROVIDING IT'S PROVEN TO BE A FAKE. BUT NOT BASED ON IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A LOWER VALUE, OR YOU DON'T WANT IT!
YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF THAT THIS IS A ILLEGITIMATE PIECE OF ART!
THIS IS THE BEST I CAN DO TO ASSURE YOU WHAT YOU ARE BUYING IS AN AUTHENTIC WORK OF ART FROM MICHAEL JACKSON.
Free shipping world wide. Will be shipped in a wooden sealed box. Shipping insurance is up to you and will be added to the total cost based on how much you'd like to insure it for.
10% of the total auction will be donated to cancer research. I believe it is what Michael would have wanted.

I'd like to address this post since the last item on this forum is my listing.

I am in support of what you guys are TRYING to do here. But you have jumped to a conclusion based on other people's listings and are being completely unfair to those who are trying to sell an item.

First off, I have called PSA, and 3 other authenticating companies. Based on PSA's pricing, I would pay a ridiculous amount of money that I do not have at the moment. If you don't know how they work please look it up. Most are priced like this. I decided to sell it without getting it certified but you guys slandering my item I am now almost forced to send it in. I feel that's completely uncalled for and unnecessary considering I have listed this clear as day that I cannot say this is a legitimate piece. I took this for a $4500 deposit. After seeing the man and his wife's collection, I used my judgment and took a chance that this could be real. I've had two surgeries in the past two years and I'm low on cash. And for that reason I'm not sending my Spawn comics off to CGC to get graded, I'm not sending my 1/1 Kobe Bryant off to get graded and more. So i decided to be honest and put it up for what i feel it could bring at an auction. PSA wants you to estimate the value of your cards. But if the autos are legit, and THEY value your cards at 50k, you owe the % they are demanding. I cant afford that..

So thanks.. You guys dont even certify...    Tell me where i can get this authenticated for under $300 and I'll take the listing down and send it off. I too am not sure it is real. I left it up to the buyer. If a good authenticator can 100% tell an auto by a few references I figured one could see the high definition pics i posted and make a judgment..

You pretty much ruined my listing. And I'm more than willing to get this authenticated. So give me the place i can do this please. I cannot find one.

Thanks

PS I didn't want to buy a fake COA and claim this is real. Im asking a high price. Not $200. Cause from what I was told its real. So pick on the a******* that are selling this s*** left and right for $100 cause ppl are willing to risk it but leave me out of it. There's a guy selling auto Lebron James cards daily!!! $60-$100 a pop.  AND hes fro Argentina!! Put that together. Who in the hell from South America has a endless supply of auto Lebron cards??? But ppl buy them cause they will risk it.
