pristine auction and JSA
Hi has anyone heard of Pristine Auctions? I ask because I won an item at an auction recently which came with a JSA coa. There was also an additional unexpected page enclosed explaining that the autograph in question had been examined by JSA on behalf of Pristine auctions. Do Pristine auctions do this automatically for all of their autographed items and are autographed items sent to JSA on behalf of Prisitne auctions guarenteed to pass? Do they have the same kind of relationship as R and R now has with Beckett?

No they don't always do that. Pristine Auctions has been discussed here many times. Search for them.

Pristine auctions has VERY HIGH hidden reserves. Many items appear again and again in multiple auction -- Similar to Iconic Auctions with less stuff.

The Ten Minute Auctions, Daily Auctions and Tuesday Weekly Auctions never have reserve prices. Other formats do allow for reserve prices as outlined in the auction policies on the site.

it sounds like the item you are referencing has a JSA Auction House LOA? This item would have gone through a full JSA review to receive this form of authentication. It can be upgrades to a full JSA LOA at a discounted rate.

Let's see the autograph. Pristine will sell anything if they can get a letter on it. These auction letters are where a large group of autographs are looked at and deemed good or bad as a group. These are not individually evaluated and authenticated like Pristine's reply is insunuating. Lots of forgeries are passed in group authentications like this. Especially when they are submitted by the auction house.

That is flat out incorrect. Please stop spreading false information. We have JSA in house authenticating these items. Each and every item receiving a Auction LOA undergoes a full authentication review. We guarantee authenticity of everything offered in our auction.

If they inspect each individual piece thoroughly then explain why they wouldn't just issue the LOA individually. They scan through everything really quick and issue auction house LOA's. This is done because it saves you money in authenticating fees, allows you to sell the item generally to novice collectors and drive auction prices based on the item being JSA authenticated. Yet it still requires the buyer to spend money to have it fully authenticated to get a full LOA. Why is this? Because the auction house letter is really just a fancy way to camouflage a quick opinion. The real authentication fees are passed on to the buyer when they seek to get an LOA most buyers would demand if resold. Many collectors wouldn't accept those auction house LOA's as true authentication. I'm not the only one. Trust me.
If JSA thoroughly inspected and authenticated it with their typical 50/50 success rate in the first place why would it have to be sent back in? JSA is struggling in market share vs. PSA and BAS they will do anything to generate revenue. You advertise that it is authenticated by JSA then why don't you pay the fee or make the consigner do it? Problem solved. Rick shuts up about it.
I've seen enough stuff flow through your auction that I would never buy from you. I will give my opinion about Pristine Auction to every one I want to. Albeit in a respectful manner on AML. Off site man you should hear me. Nothing you can do about it. I still remember you advertising all those Asian bootleg jerseys with questionable signatures and calling them custom jerseys. As long as you can get some authenticator to hack off on something you would sell it.
What authority would you recognize in your guarantee if JSA says it's good? I am actually curious who you would consider an authority to over ride them or is that another one of those watered down guarantees that you would fight when time comes and claim it's one authenticator against the other and really not accept anything as proof?

I understand. You've had an agenda against us for years. You chime in with nothing but negative to say any chance you get including spreading absolute false information, like you have done here. I'm really not interested in engaging in a conversation with you, as it serves no purpose.
I have already explained the authentication process. The items go through a FULL authentication review by JSA to get a JSA auction house LOA. Yes, they are cheaper because they don't have to go through the full process of issuing a full LOA. We represent both buyers and sellers and this process is the best for our sellers. The buyers are still protected in regards to authenticity.

You are absolutely correct. I've had a negative opinion of your auction site for years. You probably know why and I doubt it would change. Anybody can search for it on here. You are not alone though Jared. I'm not just picking on you. I have the same feelings about Presspass and AtAuction among others. I state my opinion to others who ask sure but I'll say it directly to you sellers as well. I'm upfront about it. No reason to be to sore about it. I'm a nobody and most folks don't listen to me anyway.

Obviously somebody else has a similar view. Posted about it on Ripoff Report. I actually like how the pulled some of my quotes and used it in their ripoff report. I remember the autographed ASU Tillman jersey you sold that they quoted me on. After I got the buyer to take it off EBAY they sold it through Pristine. Still have the photos of it. The forgery was signed on a Tillman ASU jersey that was issued and sold to raise money for the Tillman Foundation 2 years after his death. Sent you proof of when the jersey's were made and offered for sale to the public with an article that spoke of them and describing that they sold out fast at Sun Devil Stadium. Rock solid proof that there was no way Pat Tillman could have signed it. But because JSA authenticated the forgery as they have a bunch of other Tillman forgeries you still went ahead and sold it. Hence my FACTUAL statement that you would sell anything if you could get somebody to hack off on it.
Just one of the many reasons I question the integrity of you and your BOTTOM TIER auction house. The Asian counterfeit bootleg jerseys that you advertised as "custom" with the endless Peyton Manning forgeries was another reason. Then you put in your bio that you run an auction house that God would be proud of. Yeah right. God buys his official home team red Larry Fitzgerald jersey through the Cardinal gift shop. He doesn't buy if from trademark stealing counterfeiters in Korea.
Plus your touting of JSA is laughable. They are a joke. Good thing this hobby will always have Beginner and novice collectors. They are definitely your target market.
