This album with really pathetic signatures just sold for $240 on an auction site in Sweden. I know that butt ugly fakes sells all the time, but what makes this even more stupid is that the seller clearly states that the signatures are ”PROBABLY NOT REAL”!!!

He writes this twice in the listing and still people bid on that crap?!?! And just look at the COA, ridiculous...

I guess who ever bought this in a way gets what he/she deserves! Stupid!!!

The COA is cleverly worded. Not actually saying the signatures were signed by the Beatles themselves.

At least, it sold for just $240. I recently saw "signed" albums (which I posted in this forum) sold for thousands each while they were also fake. Better fakes, but does this make a difference?

Who ever bought this "signed" album deserves what they got!!! We always stress on this site...

..."Do your homework"..."study different examples"..."compare"...don't just say,"What do you think of this....what do you think of that???" The question is..."What do YOU think about it???"

If I may... it is sometimes quite difficult to do our homework or to compare... I have had interest for Beatles autographs for about two years and have posted on this forum a few times. I have always received opinions and have been able to see the huge experience and knwoledge of some members... but I have never really been able to discuss about the reasons why an autograph was real or fake. Experienced members are usually reluctant to discuss the details so that not to help potential forgers to make their forgeries better. I understand that, obviously, but it makes it difficult for amateurs like me to improve.
I have gained enough experience to spot bad forgeries but, when faced to good forgeries, it is difficult to understand the opinions of experienced members who know why they are forgeries.

Unfortunately you cannot save people from themselves.

Agree Christopher!

We always see people getting tricked by dubious sellers that do everything they can to fool the buyer. But here the seller clearly states twice that the autographs likely are fakes and people still bid. That’s beyond stupid...

Cogo, I've observed Mickey Mantle auctions where the seller shows the JSA/PSA letter stating that the autograph is not authentic and people still bid on it.

The people that bid on those auctions are either delusional collectors or scammers who will toss the Rejection Letter and then sell it as authentic.

In my opinion, Ebay is an enabler of the fraud that occurs on their auction site.

+1

Why, it's downright moronic I tell ya...
