PLEASE HELP identify the person/signature in this 1937 vintage photo

Hello, I am requesting assistance identifying the person in this vintage 1937 signed photo. The person looks familiar to me but I just cant place him, and i cant make out the signature. Adding to the confusion is another name, or couple of words, written in a different hand. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

The signature on the right is that of the photographer, I would wager.

Looks to me like whomever it is that signed it went to penmanship class with Roberto Clemente! lol

I can't read the signature either so I performed a reverse image search on Google but no luck.

Hi, I just wanted to thank everyone who took their time to attempt to identify this signature.

I recently submitted several items to RR Auction for consignment, and also sent a pic of this photo to see if they recognized the subject. Their reply was that it was most likely E. M. Eberts, who was a prominent surgeon from that time period. Why he was signing photos of himself I will never know.....lol.

Again, I really appreciate everyone's assistance in identifying this autograph.

He was well known and well thought of when he was alive, so people sought his signature. Like many past celebrities, he became forgotten. I have, literally, seven rubbermaid containers full of unreasearched autographs, all very old. I doubt that I will identify these very soon, and the internet is quite useless for identifying many of these old pieces. Find out what hospital he was associated with as I bet there might be interest. I have sold many , long forgotten , educators to universities via quotes.
