We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Chicago's JBTV studio, which has has many fantastic guests since they began in the early 80s, just recently started listing signed posters from a some of the acts that have played their over the years, Mostly recent indie bands/artists  \so far, but some good names (Tove Lo, Melanie Martinez, K Flay, Phantogram, etc). Looks like they still might be adding more, so worth keeping an eye on. https://www.jbtvmusic.com/shop.html

Saw Buddy Guy perform this weekend during his annual stint at his club Legends. Buddy signed after the show at his merch stand.

Did he do outside items?  Long line?  Looks like you have a VIP laminate - would you need that?  You think he will do it every night?  Thanks.

I did not bring outside items. He will only sign to paid ticket holders, everyone receives a lanyard, no VIP. Pretty sure he does it each night but cant be certain.

Also caught Buddy this weekend, and he tore it down. Was able to get a table mid-afternoon, and I scooped up three of his LPs for him to sign, along with the 2019 residency poster (which Billy Branch, the opener, also signed).

As you know (but maybe others don't) Buddy was really kind and signed whatever you bought from the store, with exception of shot glasses and other trinkets. I think cost of ticket and purchase from his store entitled you to get as many things signed as you wanted, though I'm sure if you got like 20 things they'd know you were up to something. But for $25 a pop, and a photo with the man as well, it's not a bad investment at all.

Was a great show, too! If you ever have a chance to see Buddy, take it. He's spry for his age and still very salty, and his banter is top-notch. Funny dude who still jams out for two hours per night (he played from 9:05 to 10:40 for us, and it included a duet with Joss Stone!). Killer evening, and a wonderful date night with the misses.

If you can't make a show, he also sells a ton of signed stuff on his website. You aren't getting as good a deal as at the show, nor are you having as good a time, but still a decent way to pick up something from this legend.

Thanks. Great info. Would have loved to have seen Joss and ask her for an auto. I’ve seen buddy a few times and have purchased a lot from his website. I was hoping to get him on a poster signed by 10 other guitarists. Have had no luck before or after shows. I called Legends and they said there is no chance he would sign it at the table.

More signed copies of the new Jeff Goldblum CD here:

Side note re: the Maggie Rogers preorders. She posted this photo today showing CD inserts more nicely signed than the CD covers she's previously posted a photo with. I'm thinking these are the inserts for the Amazon UK CDs. Looks like that might be the better option.

Alice Merton signed box set for her upcoming debut album.
