Those are definitely not real in my opinion. Where is the guitar from?

Thank you.  The guitar was purchased at a charity auction a couple of years ago up in Maryland.

Unfortunately that's not surprising. Was the source Charity Fundraising Packages, (https://www.cfr1.org/) and did it come with a certificate of authentication by RM Real?

Not sure about Charity Fundraising, but it does have COA from RM Real.

RM Real is the so-called independent authenticator they use, and I believe that only they use.

Not to be confused with REAL: Roger Epperson Authentication Ltd. He's the leading modern music autograph authenticator.

What charity did you buy it from? You're going to have a tough time getting a refund but it's possible.

Leslie’s Week. They are a breast cancer charity.

Patricia, a genuine guitar signed on the body by at least Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie of The Rolling Stones would be worth well over $10,000. $15,000+ would not be out of range.

Charity Fundraising Packages probably consigned it to the charity for about $1,700 or less. Perhaps even under $1,000.

I am so sorry that you and your charity have been burned, but they could be successful asking for a refund from the company. They should warn all the people who bought signed memorabilia consigned by them.

Here's a link to Josh Board's investigative blog on them:

Thank you so much for your help. Would you suggest I contact the charity I purchased the guitar from?

Yes, definitely. They may offer to absorb the loss and refund you, but hopefully they'll pursue it with the supplier, and law enforcement. I'll be happy to help as best I can.

May I ask what you paid for it?

Thank you. I will do that. My husband was the one who made the actual purchase and it was in 2016. I believe it was $1700.
