David Bowie Signature

Hello everyone, does anyone have an opinion of the attached David Bowie signature which is dated 1993? Many thanks John

Thanks Tim I think so as well. Have studied the ‘93’ which I have been told to do and looks very similar to one on the David Bowieautograph site

I am confident this is real. The mere speed in this signature is easily seen in the streaking within the ink.

I only saw this because Mark did! I have not been on much though. It is rapid but completely formed with all elements in play - both apostrophes etc. I wonder if it is slightly faded/perhaps the pen was getting spent? Minor. Nice signature.

Thanks for the valuable input everyone. I went ahead and bought it so I’m hoping it arrives! I have come to realise that Bowie’s signature is a minefield so glad to stick with this one and move on to other signatures. Best John

Maybe I'm being too conservative, but I think it may have been done by someone who studied that Bowie site and practiced. Particularly, there's one of the '93 samples which is imo *too* similar to this one. It has some factors that feel unnatural to me. Authentic Bowie samples tend to look really whipped out/faster and less intentional/careful looking formations than this. 

I feel most comfortable leaning toward Inconclusive.

Is it the "3"? That looked a bit odd to me. Also the start of the sig after the vertical in the "B" seems slow. I will look at Andy's exemplars when I can ...very over-run here. Good conversation.

Here is the description of the item I bought guys. I pick it up Saturday as missed the postman! I will post COA soon as I have it ( for what it’s worth). Had a good vibe about it after studying Bowie’s signature for a while but appreciate that I don’t hold the expertise of MarkG, Eric Longo etc. By the way I bought it before Mark and Eric pitched in with their comments so it was wholly my gamble. If I can get no worse than an inconclusive I am happy! I could buy an Isolar for 4 figures but bought this for £180. The 93 is pretty much similar to one on The Bowie website which was pointed out by Mr Steffman which I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not. If this all goes pear shaped for me then it’s a learning curve . As soon as I get the item I will post. Thanks for the input guys cheers John
