Thoughts on Linen Backing an autographed poster - Does it take away from the value???

Linen backing is a great way to preserve and restore posters.  What are your thoughts on linen backing an autographed poster?  Does it take away from it's value???

Rule of thumb unless u really need to do dont. Because unless it's a very expensive one sheet it a harder resell
