Hi what do you think of this signed pic? Unsure of the date it was signed unfortunately.

Sorry, I do not believe Shirley signed this photo. The signature is slow and has an unnatural flow.

Don't be so quick to throw the baby out with the bath water, but I think this is real.

I have a few signed Shirley Temples in my collection that she signed (w/green ink) as a child.

Lets see what other members think?

I agree she signed with a green fountain pen regularly. I just don't believe she signed this one. I am not convinced. JMO.

Now that I looked at the image with the magnify image, I agree. From afar it looks good, until you get close.

But the big give away is the under score, under "the Little Colonel" that's something a child would not do?

I agree 100%. Atypical.

Thank you both. I have a second autograph, a TTM one signed in her married name, I'll post this one up at some point for opinions.

This is a possibility although I only considered the additional writing. I still do not think the signature is in the hand of Shirley. The salutation and signature appear too neat and slowly written, imo.

From my knowledge, Shirley never used a secretary to sign for her. Certainly this is not the signature of a youngster and I don't think it matches will her later years either.
