Were autos from ‘Friends of William Shatner International’ legit?

I came across on Fanmail.biz a number of people over the years who sent in $24 to ‘Friends of William Shatner International’ and received back a signed photo from him. The most recent was in 2016. From what I can tell, FWSI was an actual a link from the authentic William Shatner Website, but the link unfortunately no longer exists, but I’m guessing for this reason it was legit. Just seems crazy you could get his auto for so cheap when he charges $80+ at conventions. Which is why I’m wondering if the signatures were autopen or something else? From the ones I’ve seen from FWSI they are all on the same photo but they all do appear to be in his style (which has changed over the years) and they’re not all the same. I’ve enclosed a sample from 2002 and the certificate that they sent out. Does anyone have any knowledge of FWSI and know if these are authentic? Thanks!!

I don't like it. Atypical. The "iam" and the "Sh" and "tner". The "t" and the two "ll's" usually echo with a down and slightly up stroke on the second "l" and the "t". I don't believe Shatner signed this.

Thanks for the reply! While I admit it is atypical, especially the ‘Sh’ for me, I thought it shared some components with his quite varied signature. What had me tending to think it had a chance was that for years it was available through a direct link from his site...it wouldn’t have believed he would’ve endorsed something like that? Thanks again!

Let's get some other opinions. Looking now without being surrounded by a battle zone (7.4) I may be wrong.

I was led to believe that he signed a lot of these for his fan club but the signature shown is at best very sloppy and looks a poor example compared to most others I've seen IMO

Here’s another from 2016 (the first one I posted was from 2002). Definitely more sloppy for sure!

Again, even more atypical.

Here’s a couple more, not from the fan site, but I just wanted to run it by you guys. Thanks!
