Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Could you post a pic of the album?

Here's a photo of a price list that was posted on FanMail. I thought it could be useful to compare the handwriting to some inscriptions and even autographs.

I'm not sure what to think. It looks like some relatively recent graphs that have been received by mail. They're consistent, but was Jerry the one who signed them? I'd like to say yes, but then again I'm bothered by the loops at the top of the "r"s in the one you received. Does anyone else have an opinion for James?

It's a shame we can't have full confidence in these autographs. I suspect he could have made a lot of money even charging $200. If people just knew he was the one doing the signing he would receive many more requests.

I just noticed for the first time that even the price list I posted for comparison sake looks like the writing was traced in some parts like some of the inscriptions that have been received. So weird.

Full pricing letter

i checked out the fan mail post and there was more to the price list. This is odd on a number of levels. The pricing, the signature stamps, the tracing, the crossed out signatures, etc. seem strange to me.
I’d happily pay $200 for his signature if I could watch him sign it. I don’t feel comfortable TTM.

strange idea.  I agree.  If we knew for sure, I and many others would gladly pay.  We just dont know.

The person who created and sent out that price list is not all there mentally. What the heck is going on?

After his stroke, I wonder how well he can sign anymore.  I don’t think that one recently received by James looks good.

To my eyes, it doesn’t compare well to the stamped signature, the ones received when Judith was pressed about fakes and took a picture of Jerry Lee with the items, or the one I got at a concert years ago that Roger said was good somewhere on this thread.

I would also happily pay $200+ if I could get an album signed with a video documenting Jerry Lee signing it.

Has anyone asked Roger about his current opinion of the TTMs? Take a look at page 23 of this thread where Roger posted five examples of JLL signatures that he believed to be secretarial, all of which he said were consistent with each other. He later went on to offer a JLL signature (a “Mean Old Man” CD insert from Best Buy) for sale, another of which he had included in those five examples. He also included the signature with the “The Killer” inscription (see my post on the previous page) in those five secretarial examples, so perhaps he changed his mind about that one as well.

I have always found these TTM JLL "autographs" highly suspicious. I have three JLL vintage signatures and they were sloppy then, I dont understand how, at his age, his signature would become neat and the inscriptions totally different from his younger years.   For me, I would rather purchase an older example, like I did this morning.  I just picked this up on ebay for $100.00.  I do not mind the personalizations on vintage signatures: (this is a signed 1971 back of album cover)

thats a beauty and like my IPs.  This should be the blueprint to judge JLL signatures by.  There are just too many variations on the TTM signatures to know for sure what is going on.

I agree Steve.I dont want to make accusations, but I certainly would not feel comfortable with those TTM signatures.

Great one terrier!  Love it.
