Did John Lennon really send back authentic autographs TTM?

Its been said he liked to answer fan mail.  From 1976, thoughts?

He certainly did sign through the mail but I can't say whether this is authentic or not--I just know that he did sign ttm.

Several here got John TTM back when he was in NY with Yoko. He would read fan mail and sign and make doodles for fans. There is a clip from the Imagine documentary of him reading mail on his bed with Yoko.

That is what I remembered. Is that the clip with Yoko reading a letter about Brian Epstein warning John about a future assassination attempt?
