The Dimaggio has characteristics that are consistent with authentic examples, but there is something about the Williams that concerns me. Let's wait to see what some of the others think.

DiMaggio and Williams are not signatures I have studied closely, but my gut reaction to these is they look ok. Very natural flow to both signatures.

I'd like to hear what others more familiar with these think.

not too long ago, I would have felt the Williams was legit, and it may very well be, but I have seen some Williams autographed flagged as forgeries, that have the same flow.  Again it could be ok, but the slant seems a little off and so does the end of Williams.  Its just an opinion, of course.  I have not wrapped my arms around Williams signatures yet, and its not for lack of trying!
Thank you so much for your advice, I love this website I have been wanting to join something like this for year's, It's nice to finally show off my collection instead of keeping it locked away.
Hey John...I have seen so many Williams/Dimaggio dual signed pieces and because the authentic ones are so far and few I have seen fakes most of the time...do to the forgers being so consistent in there style they can be spotted a mile away...BUT...I like your piece...this looks authentic to me...the dual signed fakes I have seen the Williams is decent looking and the Dimaggio is always awful and this is not even close to awful...Iam loving this piece and although Dimaggio is much harder to determine because of his style always changing...I feel this piece is authentic...very nice
I have alway's felt it was but It is a big relief to hear you say that, Thank You !
Cee Gee, I feel that the Dimaggio is authentic.  Pretty confident on that.  Its the Williams that I was concerned about.  If you like the Williams, and I like the Dimaggio, I think we have a winner!
Another good indication and good rule of thumb is if one is bad so is the other....As hard as Dimaggio is at times to authenticate Iam really loving it...a good give away the dual signed Splinter Clipper pieces are fake to me is always with the give away Dimaggio with the elongated "J" and the horrific "D" and the Williams with the "T" that looks like a "Y"...those are no brainers...this piece shows no indication of the fakes I always see...I am loving the Dimaggio so much I feel it speaks for the Williams...its so fluid and looks nothing like the forgeries
I agree with you in most cases but I can't help but believe that there are photos out there that do have a legitimate signature on them, and to complete the package, I can see where a forger could put his "talents" to use.  Not necessarily the case there, but I can see it happening, in fact I have seen it on Maris Mantle photos.
There's no question that could happen terrier...I have also heard Mr.Zipper make mention of Mantle signing photos that Maris had already supposedly signed that were not good...I never seen one but I would image no doubt that they would exist...I would actually love to get a look at one so I know what the forgers "Maris" style looks like...but I agree with you on this particular piece I would say that did not happen...this is a great piece and in this particular photo they both look good to me...I wish it was hanging on my wall
Here is an example of common fake Dimaggio's and Williams's...yours look nothing like these forgery examples
You guys are awesome thanks for all your help ! Thank you CEE GEE for the Mantle examplars.
