It's going to be a rough bunch of years coming up - many of our heroes going to their reward - folks that were famous when it really meant something to be famous. The days of 6 channels on TV and 4 slots on the radio dial famous. When everybody at school watched the same thing on TV and saw the same movies and everyone would talk about it on Monday at school. Yes, there is something to be said about having all these outlets now to showcase new and interesting material and having so much to choose from. But there is something wonderful about having a shared experience with your friends and in some cases, the entire country.
