yeah i had to run an errand so of course it shows up lol, I just ordered the Nick Cave book from Oblong and it was fine.

yeah, I got an order in for 1 with Waterstones so I may be Ok but I really want a backup just in case it gets canceled or lost in the mail.

I did the same with Brian Johnson. I have 1 with Indigo, 1 with BAM, and 1 with Alabama Bookseller. But I need 1 for me and 1 for a Xmas gift. Hopefully BAM or Indigo comes through. So I get it.
The fact that it died fast is promising. It means they are real-time on inventory. SO I have a good feeling about Oblong. I have like 4 preorders in with them. Omar Epps, Alan Moore, Bono, Rainn Wilson.

yeah I've only ordered from Waterstones a few times and they usually show up fine but my last order from them showed up with the box unsealed to the point that the book could have easily fallen out, so I'm always paranoid now and try to have a backup. with the big names anyway

So basically like my experience with Indigo. Corners of the box wide open on my Dan Levy book. It arrived mangled. Had to get a replacement.

I feel that this is probably what's going to happen with my Easons Ireland one.
Let's just hope Barnes and Noble will get some.

how can they blame PayPal though ?? It’s just a payment method . If it’s in stock then payment method is irrelevant surely the
the Eason only has to use the excuse that it was not guaranteed and by order placed so that’s an easy out for them..

To be fair, I have my order showing in my account and the auth is pending in Paypal. But I never got an order confirmation email. So it looks like there was some kind of a glitch in the handoff process between Oblong and Paypal. So I think they are actually being straight with you. Sucks that your order got canceled though.

Very weird as I did get a confirmation from them AND PayPal . Seems I’m unlucky as nobody else on here has had a cancellation
