supposed to be from his pop-up store promo event (but no paper work)

it actually looks pretty good to me
I’m leaning toward good as well. The capital B is a bit odd, but the rest looks spot on, to me.
You do have to be careful with these pop-up CDs, especially when the seller hasn’t kept the receipt, but paperwork isn’t everything.
No clue what the receipt would look like for these but I never considered a receipt proof of anything, just another possible aid.. receipts can be faked as well.
I'm with you guys however, the signature looks good to me
I purposely never used the word proof. But it would support the claim for authenticity, if the receipt had been retained — notwithstanding the possibility it could also be faked. The dates and locations of the pop-up CD sales are well documented, so one would expect any receipt to mirror at least some of those details.
I considered attending the London event at the time, but decided against it in the end, as the 400-mile round trip, together with the attendant expenses, wasn’t that appealing.
True, thats pretty much what I meant as an aid.. its great support for the claim like you said. I like your wording better. Not proof, but support
400 miles in to London is tough. Depends how bad you want something. At this point, I'd drive 2000 miles (anywhere in the US) if I knew where certain celebrities would be to get them myself on an item already signed by someone else. Its an extremely short list though.
400 miles round trip. I live 200 miles from London. But it’s not really the distance. I’m a northerner in actuality and in spirit. I can’t stand the hassle of having to go to London for anything.
I hear you, been to London many times. Before meeting my wife, I had a girlfriend who lived in Reading and we tried to make a long distance relationship work for years. The amount of people stuffed into that area can be overwhelming. I remember shopping in London once on the weekend where there was a HUGE line just to try on clothes. Its almost 20 years later and that image still stands out for me. Its an experience for sure and I can imagine not fun at all fighting for autographs there
